Dr. Natalie Costello


Dr Natalie graduated from the University of Queensland with Honours in 2000. She has worked in various clinics throughout Queensland and became the owner of Taringa Fiveways Dental in 2012.  Dr Natalie is committed to providing dental care in an ethical and conservative manner, as well as ensuring her patients have a good understanding of the current treatment options available.

 By attending the latest conferences  and dental seminars, Dr Natalie keeps her knowledge and techniques up to date. She is also a State and Federal ADA member since 2000. 

With over 20 years experience, Dr Natalie prides herself on being gentle and thorough in her dental treatments. She has a wealth of knowledge and will provide each patient with a comprehensive examination and excellent attention to detail during treatment.


Dr. Mihaela Petrou


Mihaela studied Dentistry at the University of Queensland. After graduation in 1990 Mihaela worked as Clinical Demonstrator for a couple of years at the UQ’s teaching Dental Clinic.


Mihaela has experience in private practice in Queensland for 7 years. Between 1997 and 2001 she worked in English Private Practice undertaking both British and American Dental Courses. She prides herself on her fine dexterity, gentleness and perfectionism. Mihaela was a founding member of The Pogonian Dental Study Group which she still meets with for monthly lectures and meetings.  She has completed many Continuing Educational Courses in numerous fields, including new treatments, techniques and materials.


Special interests include Cosmetic, Reconstructive, Paediatric and Endodontic Dentistry always with the aim on prevention. She’s especially talented at easing and relaxing a nervous patient’s mind, and ensuring children feel relaxed and have fun in her care.


Dr Veronika Valena graduated the University of Queensland with first class honours and as a class Valedictorian in 2002.  She then spent several years in Cairns, developing her clinical skills and experience in both public and private dental practices.  In 2004, Dr Valena returned to Brisbane, where she continued to work in private dental clinics, while also serving as a Forensic Dental Officer at the Forensic and Scientific Services at QE II Hospital.  In 2007, Veronika relocated to Toowoomba, which has been her home since.   Dr Valena has many years of clinical experience in all aspects of general dentistry including preventive and restorative treatments, crown and bridge, root canals and simple orthodontics.  Veronika is committed to continued professional development and is a proud member of the Australian Dental Association as well as the Australian Society for Special Care in Dentistry.  In her spare time, Dr Valena contributes to the next generation of young dentists through the University of Queensland Career Mentoring Program.   Veronika is a passionate runner and a triathlete and has represented Australia at the 70.3 Ironman World Championships in Mt. Tremblant, Canada.  Veronika is also a voracious reader and speaks Czech, Russian and some German.



Kate is our clinical assistant who has worked in various clinics throughout Queensland and is passionate about dentistry and providing high quality dental care.


Kate is happy to listen to your concerns and provide you with home care advice, to help you take care of your teeth. She is studying nursing and enjoys all aspects of dentistry and in her spare time loves to visit family, exercise, and has a strong passion for soccer. 

Dr Jacinta Clayden


Anna joined Taringa Fiveways Dental team in 2017. She is studying Bachelor of Dental Science at UQ and has a passion for dentistry.


Anna will help you in any way she can, in a friendly and professional manner.
